We are seeking a passionate Integration Developer with extensive experience in web-based solutions and modern technologies. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration of our EMR/HIS systems with third-party platforms, leveraging advanced tools and adhering to industry-leading standards.


Key Responsibilities

System Integration

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust integrations between Minerva Data’s EMR/HIS systems and external platforms such as laboratory systems, imaging systems, pharmacy solutions, and billing platforms.
  • Analyze integration requirements and deliver scalable, efficient, and secure solutions.

API Development and Management

  • Create, document, and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external system communication.
  • Ensure API reliability, scalability, and security using best practices.

Healthcare Standards and Interoperability

  • Implement healthcare data exchange standards such as HL7, FHIR, DICOM, and IHE to ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Data Management

  • Design and optimize data pipelines for real-time and batch data processing.
  • Handle data transformation, mapping, and validation across systems.

Testing and Troubleshooting

  • Conduct rigorous integration testing to identify and resolve performance and security issues.
  • Troubleshoot integration challenges in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., developers, clinicians, business analysts) and external vendors to understand workflows and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Serve as a technical expert and advisor for system integrations.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and frameworks in healthcare IT and web development.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance and scalability.

Documentation and Support

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all integration processes, APIs, and workflows.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as an Integration Developer, ideally within the healthcare domain (EMR, HIS, or similar systems).
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks:
    • Python, Java, C#, or Node.js.
    • Frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP APIs development.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, DICOM, IHE).
  • Expertise in database management:
    • Relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server.
    • NoSQL databases: MongoDB, CouchDB.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of secure communication protocols and authentication (e.g., OAuth2, JWT).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Background in Australian healthcare workflows and regulatory standards.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in system integration, with a focus on web-based healthcare solutions.
  • Certifications in healthcare standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) are a plus.
