Meal Management
This module allows you to record and manage the different types of meals and diets provided by your facility. It acts as a central catalog that nurses, dietitians, and kitchen staff can use when assigning food plans to patients, residents, or staff.
When Do I Use This?
- When adding a new type of diet to your facility's offerings (e.g., "Low Sodium", "Diabetic Friendly", "Clear Liquid Diet").
- When updating the description or general ingredients of an existing meal plan.
- When standardizing the names of meals so doctors and nurses can easily order the correct diet for a patient.

Field Descriptions
| Field Name | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The short title of the meal or diet type (e.g., "Vegan Lunch", "Soft Food Diet"). This is what other staff will search for when assigning a meal. |
| Description | The specific details of the meal. Use this to list general ingredients, nutritional goals, or strict dietary guidelines. |
Tip: Always use the Description field to explicitly note common allergens (like nuts, dairy, or gluten) or restrictions to ensure patient safety and clear communication with the kitchen staff.
