Audiology
The Audiology module helps you record and track patient hearing assessments. You can define the different types of hearing tests your facility offers, log patient results, add professional notes, and provide follow-up recommendations.
When Do I Use This?
- When an audiologist, nurse, or doctor performs a hearing evaluation on a patient.
- When you need to review a patient's past hearing test results and recommendations.
- When setting up or updating the list of hearing services (test types) your clinic provides.
How To Use
1. Setting Up a Hearing Test Type
Before recording patient tests, you need to define the tests your clinic offers (e.g., Pure Tone Audiometry, Tympanometry).
- Go to the Audiology menu and select Hearing Test Types.
- Click + New.
- Enter the Name and a brief Description of the test.
- Ensure the Active box is checked so staff can select it.
- Click Save.
2. Recording a Patient's Hearing Test
- Go to the Audiology menu and select Hearing Tests.
- Click + New.
- Select the Patient from the system.
- Choose the Type of test performed.
- Enter the Date the assessment took place.
- Fill out the Outcome, any additional Notes, and the final Recommendation.
- Click Save to add the record to the patient's file.
