Dentistry Dashboard
The Dentistry Dashboard is your main control center for everything related to dental care in the clinic. It provides a centralized menu that gives you quick access to patient dental records, treatment plans, lab cases, and dental configurations.
When Do I Use This?
- Every day as your starting point for managing dental patients.
- When you need to navigate between different dental tasks, such as moving from charting a patient's teeth to creating a lab order.
- When a clinic manager needs to update standard dental procedures, kits, or charting settings.
How To Use
Navigating the Dashboard
- Go to Health → Dentistry from the main menu.
- You will arrive at the Dashboard.
- Review the list of available modules on your screen.
- Click on any Menu Item (like Treatment Plans or Lab Cases) to open that specific section.
Dashboard Menu Items
The dashboard provides links to the following areas. Your access to these items may depend on your specific role in the clinic.
| Menu Item | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Perio Chart | Record and review periodontal charting (gum health, pocket depths, bleeding). |
| Treatment Plan | Create and manage proposed dental work and cost estimates for patients. |
| Tooth Profile | View the detailed history and current status of a specific tooth. |
| Treatment | Log actual completed treatments, notes, and procedures performed on a patient. |
| Lab Case | Manage orders sent to dental laboratories (e.g., crowns, bridges, dentures). |
| Lab Service | View the catalog of available laboratory services and their details. |
| Procedure | Manage the master list of standard dental procedures, codes, and standard fees. |
| Kit | Organize standard sets of instruments and materials required for specific treatments. |
| Tooth Condition / Treatment State | Define how different conditions (like decay or fractures) and statuses (like planned or completed) are tracked. |
| Notation / Anatomy / Surface / Eruption | Access core reference data used for dental charting (tooth numbering systems, surfaces like Mesial/Distal). Usually used by administrators. |
| Setting | Configure general rules and preferences for the entire Dentistry module. |
Tip: If you are a dentist or dental assistant, spend most of your time in Treatment Plan, Perio Chart, and Treatment. Only clinic administrators typically need to access the reference data items like Procedure, Notation, or Setting.
